Getting QVIPTV ready for live TV

QVIPTV is a player, not a provider: think of it as the TV guide and remote, with IPTV Strong 8K supplying the channels. It runs on Samsung Tizen and LG webOS.

Player app

Sign-in type: MAC address activation, with the playlist added on the developer website. Activation runs over WhatsApp: order, pay, and the credentials follow in around 60 seconds. You pay once for the plan length you choose; nothing renews on its own, and you have 7 days to ask for a refund.

QVIPTV in one minute

QVIPTV in one minute Checklist

  • Cost: paid; the developer charges for activation, separate from your IPTV plan
  • Runs on: Samsung Tizen and LG webOS
  • Login type: MAC address activation, with the playlist added on the developer website
  • Guide: reads XMLTV/EPG data from the provider
  • Good match for: Samsung Smart TV and LG Smart TV
  • Known for: a paid player for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS that activates by MAC address

Adding your login to QVIPTV

QVIPTV doesn't ask for a username on the TV. Open it and it shows a MAC address, often with a device key. Go to the QVIPTV website, enter that MAC, and add your playlist there, either as an M3U link or as Xtream details.

Restart QVIPTV on the TV and the playlist appears. The app's own activation fee is paid to its developer, separately from your IPTV plan.

Settings worth changing

QVIPTV: Settings worth changing

  • Playlist name: give it a clear name on the website so you can tell playlists apart.
  • Restart QVIPTV after any change on the website; the TV app only reloads on start.
  • Parental lock: set a PIN and lock adult categories before the kids find the remote.
  • Hide groups: remove countries and categories you never watch to speed up scrolling.

QVIPTV compared with SmartSTB and IBO Player

SmartSTB is paid, runs on 2 platforms and logs in to a portal. IBO Player is paid, runs on 4 platforms and logs in to a portal. QVIPTV, by comparison, is paid and covers 2 platforms. The same login works in all of them, so trying a second player costs nothing but a few minutes.

Supported hardware

Each device has its own install route. Start with the one under your TV:

QVIPTV: Supported hardware

  • Samsung Smart TV (Samsung Tizen): install from the Apps section of Samsung Smart Hub.
  • LG Smart TV (LG webOS): install from the LG Content Store.

Questions About QVIPTV

Not covered here? Send it on WhatsApp and a person on the support desk will answer, any hour of the day.

Does QVIPTV come with channels?

No. QVIPTV is a player; it shows whatever your provider supplies. With an IPTV Strong 8K login it plays 32,000+ live channels plus 25,000+ series and 120,000+ movies on demand.

Can I use QVIPTV on more than one device?

Yes. Install it on each device and sign in with the same details. How many devices play at the same moment is set when you order: one screen as standard, up to 3 on a single plan.

Why does QVIPTV show a MAC address?

QVIPTV identifies your device by its MAC address. The playlist or portal is linked to that MAC, which is why the app asks for no username on the TV itself.

What if QVIPTV disappears from the app store?

Apps do get pulled from stores from time to time. Your login works in other players, so install an alternative such as MAC Media Player and sign in again.

Which device should I run QVIPTV on?

Samsung Smart TV is a common choice, followed by the LG Smart TV. Any device on Samsung Tizen and LG webOS will run it.
