Tips for watching The CW
Tips for watching The CW Checklist
- Network feeds carry the year's largest live events, so favorite them before the big nights.
- If the group lists more than one market, choose the city whose local news you want.
- Sunday afternoons in the fall belong to football on the networks; open the channel before kickoff.
- Restart the player after a long session if the guide stops scrolling smoothly.
What you'll see on screen
Expect a grid: categories down the left, channels in the middle, guide data on the right. The CW lives in the Local & Broadcast category. Pin it to favorites and it appears on the first screen every time you open the app, ahead of the thousands of channels you'll never need to scroll past.
Getting The CW on your TV
Order first: the WhatsApp message with your login comes back in roughly 60 seconds. Next, install a player on the screen you watch most. Then type in the server URL, username and password exactly as sent. The list loads in a minute or two, and The CW is a search away.
Same group, same login
ABC, MyNetworkTV, Univision, and FOX sit in the same local & broadcast group, and all of them come with the same IPTV Strong 8K plan. The group page lists the rest.
Quick fixes for common problems
The CW: Quick fixes for common problems
- Wrong program in the guide: check the device's time zone, then the EPG offset setting in the player.
- Sound but no picture: switch the player's decoder between hardware and software in its settings.
- Plays for a minute, then freezes: run a speed test on the TV itself. Under about 25 Mbps, choose the HD version of the channel instead of 4K.
