- The first line is #EXTM3U, which marks the file as an extended playlist.
- Each channel starts with an #EXTINF line: a duration (-1 for live), optional tags such as tvg-id, tvg-logo and group-title, then a comma and the channel name.

- tvg-id links the channel to the guide, and group-title files it into a folder such as News or Sports.

Anyone who has them can use your line, and every extra stream counts against your connections, so don’t post them in forums or screenshots. If a link leaks, ask your provider to change the password, which makes the old link stop working.
