Music

A music channel from the Paramount family, CMT is the place for music videos, award shows and concert specials. Activation runs over WhatsApp: order, pay, and the credentials follow in around 60 seconds. You pay once for the plan length you choose; nothing renews on its own, and you have 7 days to ask for a refund.

CMT at a glance

CMT at a glance Checklist

  • Where to find it: the Music group in your channel list
  • Network family: Paramount
  • Picture: HD as standard, 4K on feeds where the broadcaster supplies it
  • Guide: now-and-next listings from an EPG that covers about 99% of channels
  • Catch-up: up to 7 days back where the channel supports it
  • Price: part of every plan, from $10.42/month on the yearly option

From order to CMT in three steps

Order first: the WhatsApp message with your login comes back in roughly 60 seconds. Next, install a player on the screen you watch most. Then type in the server URL, username and password exactly as sent. The list loads in a minute or two, and CMT is a search away.

Getting more out of CMT

Getting more out of CMT Checklist

  • Award-show nights pull big audiences, so open the channel before the broadcast starts.
  • Run the TV audio through a soundbar or receiver; music channels are where better sound pays off.
  • Music video blocks make good background TV for a party; favorites keep them one click away.
  • Keep the player app updated; guide and playback fixes arrive through updates.

How it looks once you sign in

Once you sign in, the player sorts channels into groups. CMT sits under Music; typing the first few letters into search gets you there faster than scrolling. The guide row shows what's on now and what's next, and a long press on the channel (or the menu button, depending on the app) adds it to favorites.

More in Music

Same login, same group: MTV2, Stingray Hits, Revolt, and BET Her. Nothing in the IPTV Strong 8K lineup is sold separately, so add whichever you like to favorites.

If CMT won't play

If CMT won't play Checklist

  • Spinning wheel, then nothing: switch to another channel and back. If others play and CMT doesn't, refresh the playlist from the player settings.
  • Sound but no picture: switch the player's decoder between hardware and software in its settings.
  • Wrong program in the guide: check the device's time zone, then the EPG offset setting in the player.

FAQ

Questions About CMT

Not covered here? Send it on WhatsApp and a person on the support desk will answer, any hour of the day.

Is CMT included in every IPTV Strong 8K plan?

Yes. All 4 plans carry CMT along with the rest of the 32,000+ channels. Nothing is priced channel by channel, so there's no add-on to buy.

Can I restart a show on CMT that already began?

On channels that support catch-up, yes: open the guide, go back to the program and play it from the start. Catch-up reaches up to 7 days back.

What internet speed does CMT need?

Plan on about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream. Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi keeps the picture steady when the rest of the house is online.

Does CMT show up in the TV guide?

The lineup's EPG covers about 99% of channels, so CMT normally shows the current program, its end time and what's next. If listings look off, check the time zone on your device.

Can I watch CMT on my phone away from home?

Yes. Install the same player on your phone and sign in with the same details. A plan plays on one screen at a time as standard, and one order can cover up to 3 screens at once.
