4K is no problem for the MAG 424; give it a 25 Mbps connection and a 4K TV and the sharper feeds hold up. Choose a plan, message us on WhatsApp, and expect your login details in about a minute. You pay once for the plan length you choose; nothing renews on its own, and you have 7 days to ask for a refund.

What to have ready: MAG 424

MAG 424: What to have ready

  • The MAC address from the sticker under the box (it starts with 00:1A:79)
  • Budget 10 Mbps per HD screen and 25 Mbps per 4K screen, then add headroom for everyone else online
  • The box connected to the router, ideally over Ethernet

Your options on the MAG 424

Your options on the MAG 424 Checklist

  • Portal login: the only route on MAG, a single URL tied to the box MAC.
  • Remote: the MAG remote's number keys jump straight to a channel position.
  • Firmware: update the box from its settings menu before entering the portal.

How IPTV installs on Infomir MAG (Stalker)

The MAG 424 runs Infomir's own software and logs in to a Stalker-style portal. There is no app to install: the box needs its MAC address registered on the server and one URL typed into its settings.

The MAC is on the sticker under the box and starts with 00:1A:79. Send it with your order on WhatsApp; once it is registered, enter the portal URL under Settings > Servers > Portals and reboot.

Is the MAG 424 a good IPTV device?

A set-top box feels the most like cable: number keys, a guide button and fast zapping. The flip side is a smaller choice of apps. It has an Ethernet port, and for live sports a cable beats Wi-Fi every time.

Fixing buffering on the MAG 424

Fixing buffering on the MAG 424 Checklist

  • Reboot the box from its settings or by pulling the power; MAG boxes reload the portal on startup.
  • Check that the MAC we registered matches the sticker exactly, character for character.
  • Restart the router and the device together if everything is slow at the same time of night.
  • Run a speed test on the device itself, not your phone: about 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.

FAQ

Questions About MAG 424

Not covered here? Send it on WhatsApp and a person on the support desk will answer, any hour of the day.

Which IPTV app works best on the MAG 424?

None is needed. The MAG 424 logs in to a portal built into its software: register the MAC, enter the portal URL and reboot.

Can one IPTV Strong 8K plan cover the MAG 424 and my phone?

Yes, if you order the extra screen. The MAG 424 signs in by its MAC address and the phone with a username and password, so name both devices when you order. Up to 3 screens can play at once on one plan; on the 12-month length, two screens cost $200 in total instead of $125.

Can I record on the MAG 424?

Recording depends on the player and is limited on the MAG 424. Catch-up on supported channels, up to 7 days back, covers most of what you would record.

Does the MAG 424 play 4K IPTV?

The MAG 424 decodes 4K, so 4K feeds play at full resolution on a 4K screen. A 4K channel also needs about 25 Mbps on your line.

Why does IPTV buffer on my MAG 424?

Almost always Wi-Fi. It has an Ethernet port, and for live sports a cable beats Wi-Fi every time. Then run a speed test on the device itself.
