The setup, in order
Perfect Player on TiVo Stream 4K: The setup, in order
- Choose a plan on the pricing page and order on WhatsApp; your server URL, username and password arrive in about 60 seconds.
- Open Google Play on the TiVo Stream 4K and install Perfect Player. If it's missing from the store, sideload it with Downloader after allowing unknown apps under Settings > Apps > Security & restrictions.
- Add a new playlist in Perfect Player, paste the M3U link from your WhatsApp message, and add the XMLTV guide link if the app asks for one.
- Let Perfect Player download the channel list and guide (a minute or two the first time), then add your regular channels to favorites.
What you'll see on first launch
The first launch is the busy one: Perfect Player fetches thousands of channels, the movie and series catalogs, and guide data. Give it a minute or two, then start building favorites so later launches open straight to what you watch.
If Perfect Player won't cooperate
Perfect Player on TiVo Stream 4K: If Perfect Player won't cooperate
- Playlist will not load: paste the M3U link again in full; one missing character at the end breaks it.
- Perfect Player closes on its own: clear its cache, restart the TiVo Stream 4K, and reinstall if it keeps happening.
- Picture but no sound: set the TiVo Stream 4K's audio output to stereo or PCM; some soundbars refuse surround passthrough from IPTV feeds.
- Channels but no guide: refresh the EPG in Perfect Player's settings, or give it a few minutes after the first sign-in.

- Use the HDMI extender that came in the box if the port is cramped; it helps Wi-Fi reception and heat.
- Clear the player's cache from the system app settings if the guide starts lagging.
- An Ethernet adapter is the biggest single upgrade for a stick on weak Wi-Fi.
- Hide groups: remove countries and categories you never watch to speed up scrolling.
